This week is very busy for us. We will continue our theme, "Construction Zone" by talking about building houses. We will read "The 3 Little Pigs" and direct draw a pig. We will sort coins and learn about the Presidents on the coins. We will continue to learn about measuring and we will measure the students compared to Abe Lincoln.
In Religion, we begin Lent. We will attend Ash Wednesday Mass so please have your child at school by 7:50am. I will talk to the students on Tuesday about ashes and why we get them on Wednesday. We will begin teaching the Stations of the Cross by the end of the week.
Our construction project will be to build crosses. Each student will be building and painting a cross. The crosses will be blessed and the students will hold them as we pray the Stations on Holy Thursday.
A few reminders:
Tuesday is PJ day. Your child must wear shoes (so no footie pajamas!).
Parent/Teacher Conferences are February 25th and 26th. The sign-up sheet is posted in the classroom.
The preschool will be open on Thursday, March 12th and CLOSED on Friday, March 13th.
Please refer to the student handbook regarding our illness policy. If your child has a temperature, please do not send her/him to school.
