This week in "My Family, My Community" we will be learning about our neighborhoods. Please work with your child on learning his/her address. This is important when calling 911 which we touched on last week when the firefighters visited. Because we had a short week, we will continue with Iggy Iguana Ii until Tuesday. On Wednesday, our new Alpha Friend will be Sammy Seal Ss for "street." We will begin rhyming lessons and reading lots of books with rhyming words.
In math we are working on one-to-one correspondence and counting to 20. In religion, we will be talking about the Holy Family and continue our lesson on the Rosary.
In Science we will begin learning about pumpkins.
Some housekeeping items:
1. The weather is changing this week, so please send your child with a sweater or jacket on Wednesday. Please check your child's extra clothes and see you have the appropriate clothes for the weather.
2. Sign up sheets for parent/teacher conferences, baked goods, and cake-walk shifts are posted in the classroom.
3. The Halloween party sign-up will be posted by the end of the week.
