This week we begin "Our Family, Our Community." In this theme, we will talk about our families, where we live, who works in our community and different types of shelter.
Our Alpha Friend is Iggy Iquana Ii. We will begin our lessons on rhyming and review syllables.
In math, we will begin one-to-one correspondence with two different projects. In science, we will study leaves and pumpkins. In social studies, we will learn about community helpers. On Thursday, we have the fire department coming to talk about fire safety.
In religion, we are learning the Rosary. Monday we will be going out to the back circle of the school with our reading buddies and coloring a huge Rosary using chalk. On Tuesday, the Feast of the Rosary, we will be praying the Rosary with the school outside on the Rosary colored by our class.
Show-and-Tell begins tomorrow. Please see the calendar in your file for your child's day for show-and-tell. Sign-ups for conferences are posted.
There is a a lot of events this month. Please refer to the preschool calendar and my newsletter for important dates.
Just a reminder that school is closed this Friday October 10th.
