This first week for the students went very well. They are learning the routine, understanding the rules, and exploring the environment. The students were very well behaved at Mass! Even Father John commented on how well they did.
This week we are working on more nursery rhymes, counting to 10, and learning the days of the week. We will do a watermelon tasting but incorporate writing (creating a poem) and a direct draw (which teaches listening skills). We will also begin talking about feelings and learning "feeling" words.
Please make sure your child has his/her school supply box by this week. Also, just a reminder, that backpacks are not necessary. We have limited room in the cubbies so your cooperation is appreciated.
Open House Sunday, August 24th from 11:00-1:00pm. The star project sent home must be back to school by Thursday so we have time to cut them out and hang them up for Open House. It is imperative that all of the stars are returned!
Picture Day is August 26th and August 27th. Please return your order and payment by August 25th.
